Our Mission
What our Club does for kids...
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Binghamton serves over 2,500 kids annually through a myriad of programs. Many of the kids that come to the Club, through no fault of their own, live, study, and play in situations that may be unsupportive, neglectful, or even dangerous. The Club provides an environment where kids can receive help with academics, engage in innovative programming, enjoy recreation and sports, and interact with other kids in a positive and secure setting.
Without the Club, many of these young people fall prey to gang relationships, crime, and teen pregnancy, which only continues the cycle of poverty. But, with the help of a caring staff in a place where the children feel comfortable and safe, our members have the opportunity to succeed and develop qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders in our community.
What our Club does for you...
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Binghamton positively influences our members when they're young, which affects who they become as adults. The more problems our members solve through the Club as children, the fewer problems social services and the criminal justice system have to solve later on. This results in more lives saved from crime and poverty and less expense to the taxpayers of this community.
